Kurt is a recently retired wildlife biologist, also an award winning taxidermist.
We strive to produce nicely marked sheep with good fleeces that meet the breed standard. We have had Jacob Sheep since 2006 and have used several flock sires during that time. Our flock has a mix of several bloodlines including Puddleduck, Canberra, Barking Rock, Fibre Folds, Southwind, Swallow Lane, Unzicker, and Huntsberger. We showed some of our lambs at the Northeast Regional Jacob Sheep Show for the first time in 2011 with several animals placing in the top five of their division. We were very encouraged, we met some nice people, and learned a great deal. We have continued showing and placing well. We were honored to have our ewe lamb, Lilly, take Supreme Champion in 2013. Sadly, we lost our flock matriarch in 2013. We could not possibly have had a better teacher about the breed. Abigail will always be missed. Smart, strong leader, wonderful mother, great personality - we were truly blessed. May you always have green pastures, Abby. |
